SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

Reg. 1

The 27th. FIM MOTOCAMP is organised by: PEÑA MOTORISTA TAMARITE.
On behalf of the Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and the Commission for Leisure Motorcycling (CML), the event will be held from 27th. To 29th August 2008 according to the FIM Code for Tourist Gatherings (hereafter know as CTG) – FIM Motocamp section; to the rules of the FIM, to these Supplementary Regulations (SR) and to the FIM Environmental Code.

Reg. 1.1

The organisation of the 27th FIM Motocamp has been delegated to:

Reg. 1.2 Executive Committee

The first meeting of the Executive Committee will be held on 26th August 2008 at 19 hours.
Subsequent meetings will be fixed bi the Executive Committee.

Reg. 2 Participation in the Motocamp

According to the CTG (Motocamp: Arts. 2 & 4).

Reg. 3 Entries

 

Reg. 3.1

Individual entries will be made on the form available for this purpose (or the duplicate), which will be delivered to the FMNs by the organiser (CTG Motocamp Art. 5).
The FMNs will return the entry forms to the organiser after verification (see address in Reg. 1.1).

Reg. 3.2

The FMNs will also add a summary list of the members entered; the sum paid for the entry fee and for the accommodation – camping in accordance with Reg. 7.
The entry fee is fixed in 110 €.

Reg. 4 Entry Fee

The entry fee is fixed by the Federation of the participant. This is composed of the organiser’s fee plus any administrative expenses, which may be added by the FMN.
The amount is fixed in Euros (€).
Children between the ages of 8 and 12 will pay 50% of the adult entrance fee.
Children under the age of 8 will be admitted free of charge.
The entry fee will be paid in full (100%) by the FMN participants before 15th May 2008 to the following account:

All payments will be made in Euros (€). The transfer costs are to be paid by the expeditor.

Reg. 5 Closing date for entries

The deadline for the entries is: 15th May 2008.

Reg. 6 Gifts, souvenirs and services for the participants

Every participant who has paid the registration fee receives the following minimal benefits:

  • Participation en the FIM Motocamp.
  • Accommodation on a camping site for the duration of the event.
  • 3 evening meals.
  • 3 breakfasts and 2 lunches.
  • Souvenir medal or pin.
  • Other souvenirs at the discretion of the organiser.

Reg. 7 Accommodation

100% of campsite booking fee will be paid the registration.
The campsite bookings before open day will be made on the “accommodation” booking form.
The amounts due for the accommodation will be paid at the same time as the registration fee, i.e. before 15th May 2008 to the bank account quoted in Reg. 4.
All payments will be in Euros (€) and will cover the transfer costs.

Reg. 8 Administrative Centre

(In accordance with Motocamp Art. 10)
The Administrative Centre will be open on 23rd August from 12:00hrs.

Reg. 9 Results and Classification

According to the CTG (Motocamp Art. 12).

Reg. 10 Disqualifications

Participants shall be officially disqualified at the discretion of the Executive Committee if necessary.

Reg. 11 Prize-Giving Ceremony

According to the CTG (Motocamp Art. 14). This will take place on the evening of 29th August 2008.

Reg. 12 National Delegates

Each participating FMN has the right to nominate one delegate holder of a Tourism Steward’s licence. The nomination shall be made in writing to the organiser at least 15 days before the event. (See Art. 18.7- Instructions to the Organisers and Participants of a FIM Classic Tourist Gathering- Cat. A).

Reg. 13 Cancellation of registration

According to the CTG (Motocamp Art. 8) the organiser can cancel the event:

  • if, at the closing date, the number of entries is below 100.
  • in the case of absolute necessity.

In the case of cancellation of the meeting, the participants who transmitted their entry forms before the closing entry date will be notified.

Reg. 14 General

During the meeting of the delegates, the Motocamp Director will give information on the daily programmes. Every evening at the time and place of dinner, the Organiser will display on a board the details of the following day’s programme (place and departure time of the trips, meal times, planned events, etc…). Information will be given in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Reg. 15 Liability of the Authorities, Organisers and participants

According to the CTG (Motocamp Art. 11) and Art.19 (Tourist Gatherings of Category A).

Reg. 16 Protection of the Environment

Motorcyclists are expected to consider other road users (CTG Motocamp Art.3).
According to Article 11.2 of the Environment Code-Rider Conduct.

  • Individual motorcyclists should develop riding habits to ensure full integration with other types of road users.
  • Ride safely and avoid aggressive and competitive riding.
  • Save petrol and reduce pollution by avoiding unnecessary idling of engines.
  • Ride politely and limit noise pollution by using your horn only in an emergency.
  • Noise annoys. Use a standard or another quiet exhaust system and keep audio systems at a low level.
  • Use only routes which are legally available to motorcyclists.
  • Ride like a professional by riding at a quiet and unobtrusive pace when riding in groups.
  • Respect nature by not travelling on routes which risk being damaged beyond a point of natural recovery.
  • Protect wildlife and its natural habitat by riding intelligently.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that your used oil, tyres, batteries and other recyclable items are properly recycled.
  • Encourage fuel efficiency and space economy by riding motorcycles instead of driving automobiles.
  • Remember that our cities and our roads are not racing tracks.
